Heyyy SuperTeachers,

Every day of testing season can feel like a marathon. How do you reset and recharge so you don’t burn out?
Long days, endless grading, and testing anxiety can take a toll, but small daily habits can help you stay grounded and energized. Here are simple reset rituals to incorporate into your routine.
1. Start Your Day with a Grounding Ritual
Before the chaos of the school day begins, take a moment to center yourself.
Try this 60-second breathing exercise:
Inhale deeply for four counts.
Hold for four counts.
Exhale for four counts.
Repeat three to five times.
This simple practice calms your nervous system and sets a positive tone for the day.
2. Create an Evening Wind-Down Routine
After a long day, your mind needs a signal that it’s time to unwind.
Try incorporating one of these quick rituals into your evening:
A warm cup of tea.
A few pages of a book (non-teaching related!).
A guided meditation or deep breathing before bed.
The goal is to transition from work mode to rest mode so you can recharge for the next day.
3. Give Yourself Permission to Rest
Testing season is demanding, but rest is a form of resistance. You don’t need to earn your right to take a break. Your well-being matters.
Challenge: Try one of these reset rituals today and notice how it shifts your energy. Which one will you start with? Let us know in the comments!
