Make no mistake there are levels to the instructional drift crisis; from subtle and isolated pockets of instructional failure to egregious spirit murdering incompetence that defaults to narratives of deficits to explain away systemic instructional failure.

The conditions surrounding schools may be unstable. The work inside the classroom cannot be.
